The long arm of the Patriot Act

So, I'm always interested in the happenings in the Marshall Islands, and I pay attention to any news articles that mention them. Today, I found I discovered that the Patriot Act has had far-reaching effects for the Bank of the Marshall Islands. The act has forced the Guam-based Citizens Security Bank (CSB) to end credit card and other services to the Bank of Marshall Islands on February 15. I'm sure there are security reasons for this, but it must make things even more difficult for people living there. Ho-hum.
